  1. PROBLEMS (Q) AND ANSWERS (A) FOR PC!

  3. Q.  I get an error message about running SRDOOR!
  4. A.  Run PCINSTAL to install the correct BBS type for your system.

  6. Q.  I can't figure out what to put in my batch file to run PC.
  7. A.  Run PCINSTAL to set up a batch file automatically.

  9. Q.  I don't know how to set up my BBS software to run PC.
  10. A.  Consult your BBS manual for more information.  Look for information
  11.     on running DOORS.  You also need to produce a DOOR FILE when running
  12.     PC.  Select a door file format that is compatible with the options
  13.     listed in PCINSTAL.

  15. Q.  I have Telegard and I don't know how to set it up to run PC.
  16. A.  Set up the option for "Command Execution Keys" to "DG" and
  17.     the MString to "PC.BAT".  Then create an PC.BAT with PCINSTAL's
  18.     Set up batch file option (use DOOR.SYS).

  20. Q.  I'm running TAG.
  21. A.  Switch to Telegard.

  23. Q.  I have TAG and I don't know how to set it up to run PC.
  24. A.  Set up the option for "PKey" to "=" and the "PData" to "PC.BAT".
  25.     Then create an PC.BAT with PCINSTAL's Set up batch file option.

  27. Q.  I want to see the scores.
  28. A.  The PC scores file is compatible with the scores file for
  29.     Global Warfare.  You can use utilities for Global Warfare with
  30.     the PC scores file (WINNERS.WAR).  It's stored in text format,
  31.     so you can just display it if you'd like.

  33. Q.  I want to be on the PC mailing list without paying $15!
  34. A.  Fill out the form PCUNREG.TXT and you don't have to pay $15!

  37. A.  Your real name will appear at the end of the game in the registered
  38.     version.  We do not register to your handle for legal reasons.

  42.     junk-mail mailing lists.
  43. A.  Don't worry!  All registerers of PC will NOT be added to any
  44.     junk-mail list.  Our list is used ONLY for notifying registered
  45.     users of updates and/or bulletins.

  48. A.  Switch to Telegard.

  50. Q.  My computer is an oldie 4.77 mhz 8088 with CGA...
  51. A.  Don't worry!  It'll be an antique worth millions of dollars in
  52.     70 years!  And besides... PC was written on a 4.77 mhz CGA computer!

  54. Q.  I don't have enough money to register.
  55. A.  Just send in the PCINFO.TXT form and you'll be on our list of sysops
  56.     running PC.  You'll be on the list of registered users here at
  57.     the Solar Realms, but you won't receive a registration number.

  60. A.  Then why are you reading this?

  67. A.  In the registered version, you can run PC EDIT to create/modify
  68.     scenarios!

  71. A.  Delete PCREG.DAT.  It won't display "Registered to Joe Bloggs" anymore.
